Planning a Wedding?

Availability?

What is your vision?

What is your budget?

What are the things you need to know when choosing a weeding planner?

Most celebrants are recommended by others and it is a very personal service so not everyone is a good fit for you.

Availability?

The question of availability is the first and most important thing. Do not waste your time. This can be done with one phone call and is simple – Are you available? Or not? If you have a flexible wedding date and really want this celebrant then something can be worked out.

Budget?

Next thing on the list is the budget which is not always an easy topic to address and while it’s not the most fun part of the process it is one of the most important. This needs to be addressed at the initial meeting and realise how your ‘vision fits in with the reality of your finances. Most Celebrants have vast connections and it’s amazing how, with a bit of imagination your dream becomes a possibility!

Services?

Celebrants can be taken on Part-time of on an ad-hoc basis depending on how much they are doing for you. Often a civil celebrant – like myself can do all the planning with you. I could introduce a florist, musicians, cake-maker and venues who will arrange the catering. On this basis the Celebrant and planner are the one person – ME?

Another option is for me to pass on my connections and you explore this further on your own making appointments with my various connections for you to co-ordinate on your own or with the help of ME the celebrant. This way you are only paying for my services when require don an hourly basis. Be your own ‘planner’ and use the experience of the celebrant!

Next time I will be addressing Logistics, storyboarding, contracts and timeline!

See you then!
